CHRISTINE JOHNSON, LPCC, LADC (she/her)
Christine is a independently licensed clinician at Maplewood Psychology who enjoys working with children over 8, adolescents, and adults. She also works in a residential substance use facility and has a passion for working with co-occurring disorders. Christine also has experience in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment disorders, and life transitions. Her work utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and emphasizes client autonomy and person-centered care. Her therapeutic style is rooted in compassion and empathic listening, while also using humor and play to provide relief while navigating challenges.
Christine attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for her undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in chemistry. She then attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for graduate school, earning a Masters of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health. She is licensed as an Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
While she is not working, Christine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing in a chamber choir, traveling, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She loves animals and always invites clients to share photos of their pets!
